With a deal that made it the largest single office building sale in history at the time, Darcy Stacom assisted two prominent development and banking families, from Beijing and Brazil respectively, in purchasing a 40% stake in the landmark General Motors Building.

Located at the southeast corner of Central Park, the 50-story, 1.7 million square foot office center is considered a true trophy property in the New York City skyline.

The 1.04 billion transaction placed the total value of the building at $3.4 billion, which Ms. Stacom noted was an increase of about 20 percent from when the sellers bought their stake five years before.
